AD 1813 The Royal Gymnastic Central Institute for the training of gymnastic instructors was opened in Stockholm, Sweden, with Pehr Henrik Ling appointed as principal. Ling developed what he called the "Swedish Movement Cure." Ling died in 1839, having previously named his pupils as the repositories of his teaching. Ling and his assistants left little proper written account of their methods.

This is the second of these I've bought. I used the first one so much the poor motors finally just gave up. This is actually an improved model from the first one I had. The padding is thicker and softer, the heat is hotter, and the cord to the control is longer (which was my only complaint with the first one). I absolutely love this mat. I have chronic back pain and this mat soothes and relaxes my back enough I can go to sleep in comfort. I have had many other mats in the past. This is far superior to any other.
